Fall Changes with Rhythms Wild

We know, it’s August. Oftentimes, here in the South, fall arrives when you least expect it, delights us for about a week and a half, and then it's winter, sort of. Until then, it will stay uncomfortably humid until we get those few glorious days. You know the ones. Walking outside feels less like going for a swim and more like you stepped into a romantic comedy in New York City during the early 90’s waiting for an email. The sky seems bluer somehow, the air more crisp. A sudden urge to change your coffee order to hot instead of iced comes over you. These days are few in number and while we make the usual small talk around the change of the season, we should really be reveling in them.

The change of the season is so impactful, every year while the world begins to slow down around us, I’m always acutely aware that on the other side of the world they are enjoying the uptick in their sundrenched days. This shift in our environment has a trickle down effect on our day to day experiences, whether or not we choose to be mindful of its impact.  How will you mark time this season? What rhythms of fall do you look forward to-the first of many pumpkin spice lattes, the annual visit to a local pumpkin patch, or the redecorating of your home for the upcoming holidays? For me, it's the first big batch of chili that simmers in the crockpot for an entire day, reminding me of how “home” so often smelled during the fall season.

That’s one of the many reasons that we find rhythms so special. They can be truly transformative. They’re like bookmarks of joy-there to remind us and bring us back to joyful moments that we’d like to reread.

Rhythms Wild has a few changes for the fall season too, changes that we are excited and proud to introduce.

First, what’s the same:

  • We’re digging into rhythms that we love for the fall.

  • ScriptureSnacks everyday but Sunday.

  • Digital prints for all of your spaces to inspire you to revel in the things you love.

  • Scripture cards for your studies and faith practices.

What’s new:

  • Spotify! | Each season we will have a playlist curated to accompany the collection.

  • Journal Prompts! | Each Sunday evening we will post a new journal prompt to reflect on for your week. You can find them on Facebook, Instagram, & Threads!

  • Journaling Sheets! | All of the prompts for our journaling series, as well as a space to jot down your reflections are on our printable journaling worksheets.

  • “Reflectables”! | Each season we put out a few printable “worksheets”; our hope is that these assist you in reflecting, dreaming, and planning.

  • Our Favorite Things! | We’ve had some people ask about where to find some of our favorite rhythms, so we’ve added a page to our website with links. However, two things:

    • Please shop local when you can! As a small business we absolutely want to support other small businesses. Thrifting is also a great 2nd option.

    • We do earn a small commission when items are purchased from our links and are grateful for the support. The links we share are generally to items that we actively use or believe in. They truly are some of our favorite things!

We continue to enjoy this growing community and are so glad that you are joining us through this season of change.
