Rhythms Wild

One thing can be certain, time will pass; and If you are anything like us, you are hyper aware of your minutes, your days, your weeks. We love to make sure our time is filled with light, beauty, growth, adventure, and rhythms. Like many friendships, ours was born out of our innate similarities, but we consistently found ourselves saying “same, but different”. It's one of our favorite things about our friendship. There’s a clear foundation of rhythmic stability that brings us together but we enjoy it in many different ways. That led us here.

Most days we find ourselves talking about the things that act as a metronome to our day. Everyone has them-the morning coffee, preparing meals, a daily skincare routine, working out, a quiet time, or the drop off line at school. Our days are filled with these rhythms and moments, some we do not get to choose, and some we do. While this may sound redundant, the ones we get to choose—we get to choose. Your morning coffee routine can be as beautiful as you’d like it to be. You can turn on your favorite song, find your favorite mug, choose how you will take your coffee that day and breathe in the aroma; maybe even have a quiet moment where you feel the warmth on your hands and intentionally taste the roasted coffee flavors on your tongue.

Now, some mornings there isn’t time for a beautiful coffee rhythm. Sometimes mornings are filled with surprise bathroom leaks, “Baby Shark” and sticky fingers, or your blind senior dog getting lost in the backyard. Heaven forbid your morning has all three. Not every morning can be pensive and beautifully rhythmic. After all, when did we, as a society, decide that mornings were the superior time of self reflection?  Thankfully, there are many great rhythms to be found in the afternoon and evening to be sure.

We believe that everyone can cultivate rhythms in their days, just like one who tends a garden. When we nurture those rhythmic moments that bring us joy, we often find that there are more rhythms to be discovered that can bring us light and hope. Find your rhythms that you get to choose and make them beautiful.

We want to help you discover your rhythms and honor them, lean in to and treasure them. Our hope is that this community will be a gathering place for all who want to find beauty in the small moments that become the brush strokes our lives.
